one of my favourite moments on BBC Radio Lancashire's Sunday afternoon show, "On the Wire" was when Lee Perry was a guest and Steve Barker played a Mantronix tune and Perry went all schizo word association: "Mantronix, man electronics, man 666, number of the beast, antichrist, Rasta must bun down Vatican" etc..

I think that's the one - it was definitely the one where Roger Eagle played Perry a bunch of tunes and Perry would say "no, don't remember producing that" but maybe in a more eccentric manner - "On the wire" typically ran for 3 hours , 2 pm to 5 pm on a Sunday afternoon so that recording you linked to is a mere third - I do remember Stever Barker making some comment like "Adrian Sherwood King of the Beats meets Lee Scratch Perry Master of Riddim" but that could have been another occasion

what I do remember is I thought that if Lee Perry sat down next to me on a bus then I would probably make my excuses and get off at the next stop
