i've been reading that casino thing to try and work out if its not some perverse joke. the fact that there's a line about a 'casino PhD' in there somewhere could indicate that it is :p

I can give you the definitive answer to this, straight from a horses mouth (not the horse, admittedly but on the right lines)... what happened was that Martin tried to invoke the anti-spam Azazothites (known as the Blunketts in Cthulhu mythology) by finally using that blogger anti spam thing that makes sigilists of us all...the holy guardian spam angels rebelled and sent a viral curse, changing everything he writes into casino spam..what is actually written if only we could see through the clouds is a very intelligent and thought provoking rant incorporating neoism, the Toni Basil remix Lp and Jimmy Pursey's Dance Troup re-enactment of the Test Dept Goddodin spectacle...

Pray for him

I don't have a clue what's happened, the casino spam's not me, what's gutting is the newest post I did, which was about a dead friend from Luton and Joy Division, is probably the only one out of all the rubbish I'd like to have kept. I'm trying to email Blogger.com. The weird thing was I set up a 'test' forum ages ago , just to swipe the HTML code for setting up links, and somebody managed to get into it back in summer and retitled it "We Never Win But The Battle Rages On", I thought it was a practical joke by someone but couldn't be bothered to investigate.

Mind you, Loki's explanation is more fun

...anyway...aren't blogger supposed to give back your access to the site when you mail them and complain, or something like that?...they bloody well should!!! grr

Ah well, at least I'm not the only one - would be way ignominious to go down in history as the only blog sunk by a spambot.

As for nazis, I think they'd probably have sought revenge by calling me a "jew" on email. Unless they've drastically changed their tactics and are now going to overthrow ZOG with online casino adverts, in which case I may well send off 50p for that copy of "Bulldog"! (only jew-king)

On a plus note for capital, my daytime work productivity rate's just soared by 80%

Not so much spambots I think, but Blogger tend to release any URLs that haven't been posted to after a certain length of time, so all that lovely pagerank you built up all that time ago just gets snaffled as someone else grabs your old URL. Funny, I can't seem to find any explanation about this in Blogger's helpnotes...

I dunno... Thankfully I have all the archives (courtesy of a particularly diligent friend)... It happened pretty soon after I switched to movable type....
