party saturday in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Why do we (heart) NY? It's not because it's nice, or
pretty, or clean...it's because it's risky, it's full
of hidden corners and unknown zones, it's still got a
spark of the lawless and untamed...because it's
dangerous...

And, today in America, more than ever, to bring danger
is simply to think for yourself, danger is to open
your mouth, to speak our mind, to stand up for your
rights... Any act that fosters or affirms life and
love, any of _expression of joy or beauty is a danger
to the fundamental being of this country. Here is the
heart of the complacent nation, the only hope of
survival is to take real risks...the only cure for
American braindeath disease is to live
dangerously........

Join us in our Town in the Woods, in the Wilds, away
from the Puritans and the Inquisition
and into Croatan, to remind ourselves what we live
for...shake off the hangover of another meaningless
holiday and make this night our own--

SOUND in TWO ROOMS: (in order)

AREA 911-

PETER GUNN (More Fire, Axis Chemicals)

ambient-atmosphere ===>grime -dubstep -broken beat

Peter is an avid record digger/collector/knowledge
base who holds down many
weeklys and monthlys around the city, and knows,
finds, and plays nearly
anything cut to wax that's worth its weight in
vinyl---Tonight he's bringing
us out of a full soundscape ether through skeletal
breaks into new school
underground grime and dubstep beats.

HABITRAIL(ImageNode) vs NICHOLAS SAUSER (Goosehound)
with Jen K (Dendrites,

Portland, OR)

LIVE dual laptops w/ oboe

Habitrail and Nicholas Sauser will be battling for
supremacy of the
intelligent techno world. They will be joined by Jen K
(Dendrites,
Portland, OR) on live oboe. Habitrail has lately moved
out of the realm of
the experimental and into the realm of the dancefloor.
He makes IDM-laced
beats with texture and crunch. Nicholas Sauser is one
half of the duo
Socks and Sandals. Working in a similar vein to that
project, Nicholas makes

weird and fluctuating minimal techno. With one foot
planted firmly in the
history of house music, the other is planted gently in
a pulsating future
filled with skimmering sonic oddities.

-------

MADARO vs AMOK

(Blackkat, Waxworks Distro)
freetekno-breakcore-classic network beats

Two of NYC's hardest working underground beat
conspirators will be mixing
the dirtiest scariest sounds of the global traveling
sound system culture
in tag team fashion-----

-----

$mall (c)hange

(WFMU, Blackcrack)
jungle-dancehall-hip hop

Underground NYC's vinyl laureate is bring a mix bag
ready to shift gears at
any time to get us down the road as riskfully as
possible---anything between
end of the world ballistikcore to Dirty South
nastiness are fair game---he's
got over 20,000 records to choose from ----

DJ ESE (Def Jux/ Embedded)

off-the-margins hip hop
label. DJ Ese's solo debut album
"Side: Two" will be released on Embedded Record in

Calm Pete, Murs, Zion I
and more. He holds down a residency at No Malice

AREA S.O.S.

a performance by SUBATOMIC SOUND SYSTEM

Subatomic Sound System starting it off with one part
band
one part beat blender with songs from their new album
On All
Frequencies...three live vocals, live electronic beats
and live percussion weaving reagge, funk, dub
grooves...

SYNAPSE

(P Beautiful/Decay Magazine-NYC

www.Good-Peoples.com, Beatboxer Ent.)
hip hop-reggae-jungle-breaks

Synapse covers all beats broken --hip hop, funk,
reggae, rare groove, battle
beats are all in his audio realm---we'll see where he
takes us!!

-------------------

NAKED SLICE (Jungle Terror)
Brian hit em so hard at Wild Wild Brooklyn we thought
the floor would
crumble, so we moved him to the big room to do some
real damage---heavy drum
and bass, hardcore ragga, bits of breakcore and
techstep---makes a volatile
mix

-----

JASON "Danger " BK (Blackkat, WWB)-maximal techno

Jason's life of danger began at a young age when he
learned to drive
snowmobiles and minibikes. Now he pushes music that
is neither forgiving
nor safe...and he's an extra loose cannon because he
just doesn't really care what anyone else thinks
anymore--

------

JOEY JUPITER (LIVE) (Atomic Babies)-- old school
acid-hardware house-technobreaks

Joey has been an integral part of the NY party culture
for over a decade...
He has released doens of records and put out doezens
of other artists
material on several labels---he was a huge part of
Blackkat's first
and most dangerous parties, we're happy to have him
back!!
