Biennale Shockingly Bad
not bad as in good, bad as in terrible.
on 4 floors of exhibition space, there was 1 redeeming work, and that wasn't anything to write home about either. unless you count the fake remake of Gore Vidal's Caligula - oh it's so irreverent and clever and over the top that I think I'll just take a long nap and pretend I didn't see it.
every room is filled with terrible paintings and worse video installations. hard to believe that it's at all possible to curate a huge show so consistently disappointing on this level. how can these people pull of such a colossal pile of drivel? unless it's meant to be a big Fuck-You to the world...
