the thing with digital hardcore and that lot is they would have been good if they reactivated that ebm/industrial/techno lineage, which they did, briefly, in 93-94 when they were affiliated with force inc, but then alec got all hurt in his whiteboy feelings and failed to go really futuristic by reading Black No More by George Schuyler.

too much wetting the rhizomatic nappies, if you will... A rather dispiriting spectacle of misery!

I do have to agree the Force Inc. related labels stuff is the best.
The tune @dilbert1 posted most recently is from a comp which has most of my personal favorite stuff from him - most of the tracks he released on his Riot Beats imprint/sublabel of Force Inc.

is it an acquired reaction since their sound is close to the bounce of breaky techno/techy break rollers at corsica studios on saturday night?

I messaged with him a bit on facebook a couple years ago and he said he was in the process of making a documentary with his Armshouse label, ‘3 Decades of We are IE.’ Hope someday we get to see what came of that. Lots of people are gonna be sharing that tune which is obviously amazing but its his underdog jungle bits I love the most.
