if you see a bloke nervously run out halfway through, that will be me having a panic attack (for some reason cinemas bring them on. should be cool though as i haven't had an attack for over a year now and music is usually my protector, besides JPM is in the house!

still reeling from the mass deception at last night's Massiera show, why wasn't it advertised properly? not even the context of steve davis swanning about potting snooker balls could make me like magma. chrome spoof were also pretty annoying.

Yeah I'm with you. I had no interest in Magma before the gig and I don't have any more interest now. Chrome Hoof are ok as far as they go but they're not the real deal. I don't think it was just me who was expecting Massiera to come on and do a set of his own, not just stand at the front of Chrome Hoof for five minutes and fail to operate his backing track. Was that made explicit anywhere in the advertising?

i feel bad for being negative, but i usually avoiding these sorts of shows as i don't like seated arenas featuring legendary old school artists reforming for the sake if it etc

i mean if massiera came out and mumbled incoherently into a mic for 30 minutes that would have been enough for me, i would have excepted any performance good or bad, so long as it was his own i would have walked away happy.

i mean lets face it the man isn't exactly in his prime.

Yeah, judging by that flyer I'm justified in feeling short-changed.
I liked the tunes that Votel was playing at the beginning - sadly I think that the first one he played was the best thing I heard all night. Wonder what it was...

one record i liked at the beginning had some kinda percussive synth quality to it. sounded like a chapel library type record, was it that one?

i thought i heard some jean vanier as well.
