arghhh why dont they put the slew dem on the fucking rinse feed. who cares about supa d?

Haha, yeah I've been noticing that a lot recently. I got Rinse FM on my MSN contact list for the shoutouts and more times when I look at it it's someone with a really gay name like Supa D or Gary Funkin' G and I go "ah how bad could it be? people are always going on about this funky house shit."

Then I lock on, and it's the same boring, deadout funky house that never gets any better than it ever was.

wtf? where's all the weekend rave reports?

anyway does anyone think that that sitar (or whatever) melody at the beginning of 'what goes around' by timbaland is bit off a grime tune? there's a tune in my head that I swear that come from - I think its an old Wizzbit tune...can anyone help?

also where is Big$hot and his little brother? and where does the 'I luv you' sample in 'I Luv you' actually come from?

Spyro kilt his set on Rinse on sat...absolutely murdered the decks...he also played some Benga tune that Badness has vocalled but is actually singing - wasn't too bad

popadom's is the tune- they probably used the same source cd, it's a preset sitar sound bt sounds of it anyway.

yeah come on who saw slimzee, skepta or riko??? (i saw newham gens @ dub pressure in brighton... they were alright but mics were too low.. tubby dropped some grime tho!)

also, why isn't everyone going nuts about Fuck Radio 5???!!?

it's stupidly good... seriously the quality of the youngers is such a big look for grime.. griminal, brutal, chipmunk, little narstie, p money... pure FLOWS. (not the most varied content maybe but they handle the mic over-nicely!)

with those guys aswell as dot rotten, lightning, double s, devlin, ice kid.... MC talent is looking very very healthy.

wanted to avoid the blatant self-promotion, but DC on Friday was definately one of our best. Cargo was full before 12 and Skeppy killed it

such a heavy set... griminal and chipmunk really shine. Devlin aswell but he's been good for ages.

"I run dubs like Peggy runs pubs...."

wheeeeeeeeeeel.

bzing! love the concept of these studio recorded merk-fests, the good ones are generally wall-to-wall grimey goodness...I'd like to see Devlin branching out a bit, mind. why can't he just make friends with Roll Deep camp and get some collaborations going, he needs a decent producer to go with the bars...if anybody is in a position to get him round Wiley's gaff for tea and biscuits I think this would be a fruitful relationship

I would recommend P Money's mixtape wholeheartedly. The missus lives in Lewisham so I managed to get a real copy but a download is definitely in order; I think you can message him through myspace to buy one as well.
