This is the most thorough collective mental breakdown we have had.

And we survived Padraig, Zhao, the wonderful gangster moll Nomad....

A 20 page thread on 'Feminine Pressure' consisting almost entirely of men insulting each other isn't a great advertisement, but it is moderately entertaining.

Well yeah, I did sort of bring this up a few pages ago...

Edit: ha, craner banging on about his old crush again, appropriately enough. She certainly kept some otherwise boring threads interesting. Don't think I've ever seen anyone go quite so far out of their way to make it totally clear that they weren't bothered about something, on a few occasions.

ok man no worries. i know youre undersocialised and i dont expect the same standard of behaviour from you i expect from other people. i shouldnt have let myself show my frustration. im big enough to know better. i appreciate your apology and im sorry too.

To be fair this has become the funniest Dissensus thread I remember. Reminds me of the time I went well angry mental about stand up comedians being far less naturally funny than most people I interacted with. Danny Dyer thread, if I recall?

Did anyone disagree with you?

I think they did, to their shame.

I don't want to bully Tea (and never have!), because I like him despite this, but he is the figurehead of this tendency on this forum.

QI, Mock the Week, Stephen Fry, Sandi Toksvig, every young British comedian in fact....

Nomad was not any old crush. We would have been a classic combination, she just couldn't see it.

Yeah, none of those people are funny enough to be comedians.

no i mean utterly fucking toxic tbh

ive been a lot nicer to you over recent years droid becasue theres clearly something wrong with you and i respect neurodiversity but dont push your luck son.

Beneath the facetiousness there's been an increasing undercurrent of nastiness here as well, personalisation couched in the disingenuous 'just having a laugh mate' wink and nod delivered with an edge of giddy egotistical glee. Direct attacks on the person and not the behaviour at the slightest hint of challenge, designed to affirm perceived dominance and power. Chimp psychology that leads to:

unpleasantness and bad vibes?

Oh jesus, am I actually bad enough to be on a Channel 4 panel show? I may have to rethink what I'm doing with my life.

FWIW I think Owen G's Danny Dyer material is the best thing anyone's ever posted here.

I presume you are referring to that nasty picture of my supposed "crap shoes" which were in fact a decent pair of Loakes that just happened to be old and unpolished when the picture was taken.

I took exception to that, but just let it ride. Fuck it. It's just an Internet forum.

Edit: in response to Droid's last but one post

it was a good picture and no one said they were crap shoes. droid feels left out of the laughs and is bitter about it which im sorry for but i dont see what im supposed to do about it. cliques are in no way ideal but hes charmless, poisonous, has no social graces, no sense of humour and no sense of proportion so how to include him?

better just to skirt around him. but that's enough of this.

the point of the shoes pic was to illustrate your brilliant piece (partly about shoes) that you wrote when you were bartys age. to remind you of when you were a precocious youth.

There we go again. Unbecoming.

Hand on heart I can say you’ve got the wrong end of the stick with that.

I suppose there’s a little bit of a culture shock here for me. The way me and Luka have been behaving has been the default my whole life; family gatherings, with friends, at work. Different classes, races, etc. It’s not novel in the slightest. Never had any issues with it before. I do the same with my nan for fuck’s sake.

Admittidadly I am very drunk.

Having witnessed him literally rattle a London pub to its core with Cutty Ranks at full blast - while MIA lookalikes tried to hump his leg - I can confirm Droid is certainly not averse to fun.

Nomad was a bloke, btw.
