it's that time again guys, could i get a track id? desperate to find out the name of the first track in the final round of kano vs wiley from lord of the mics - starts at 12:24 in the link above. 4/4 greatness that would smash in a rave - does anyone have any idea of the name and whether it was actually released? many thanks.

That video is great, although Skepta cheated a little bit with all of his prepared bars. Apparently there was a little bit of beef after that because Devilman was under the impression that it was meant to be on the fly.

Same thing with Bashy and Demon too.

Just got round to listening to Logan's show from last Monday.

Now having heard more of Dizzee's album, I can say I was pleasantly surprised that the production isn't as baitly hip hop as I thought it would be, and some of the beats are quite sick, but amazingly his flow is totally gone. It's somehow gone through a 50% decrease in quality. What happened?

Big show tho. Skepta had a lot to say (almost too much to say, actually, he was talking so much he hardly spat any bars), and clearly proved himself as being one of the more (see: most) professional, level-headed artists in the game. I was really loving him making fun of lyrical MCs, and mocking their flows. Man totally doesn't give a fuck about levels. He is the levels.

Also Doogz is on fire, and at this rate he is going to have everyone creaming their jeans like they are over Trim right now. He does sound a bit baitly American on occasion, but his flow is deadly. I hope he gets a mixtape or album together soon. Top 3 Selected is an anthem too, although at the end of the track it's pretty clear the top 3 on the riddim are Kano, Doogz and G.H.. Devlin and Wretch's bars are disappointing, and what's up with Devlin chatting about old mans' willies? No homo.

Also hold tight Maniac. Him and Joker are running the production ting right now.

Hulk Logan does it again: I've said it before, but no one can chat shit bout grime's dead without listening to that show first.

Good for you! It's a great record, got it myself only a month ago.

I went to see Wiley on Saturday. He came over to Holland and 'performed' at the Melkweg.

Sjeez, he came on with Ny --> she did two songs (and impressed with her voice, she did a lot more vocal acrobatics than on her songs) and then wiley did a 10/15 minute stageshow. 50/50, Stormy Weather (by mistake, Ny selected wrong intrumental); No Qualms; Gangsters; Mistakes; Bow e3.
Things is, he was flopping his bars! And then, at the end he invited anyone who called himself an mc to come on stage and spit......dutch guys spitting in english accent + dutch accent.......
Why come over to Holland for that? Entrance was 18 euro.....and I can't even be angry, just dissapointed.

feel for you though, hope you'll be able to catch him during a better performance someday

ppl still don't know about this..yet skepta won?! whatever man

I like bbk and their what the scene needs and that but...there have been other labels, like ones that have been here from time, who have been doin a lot for some time but...they've never seemed to never really got the recognition (maybe I should type 'hype'...which is ultimately meaningless truesay) that bbk have - why?

it's a lil' late but I never realised devlin murked 'battle riddim' so digustingly...my days

whose heard scandalous unlimited's first dubstep tune? richie vibe vee played it two weeks ago...opinions?

is shotz's 'thunderbolt' ever gonna see release?

to the person who said 'top 3' is a pinnacle for rapid should hold tight for some of the future stuff...I heard some grainy audio of some bits some time ago now...he'll shock you...believe

They either haven't had the quality throughout their roster, or they don't put out enough material.

sounds like typical wiley. my favourite bit in that c4 documentary that was on a few weeks ago was when he was performing live and one of the slow AOR beats came on and wiley started saying 'conscious conscious' and then what does he perform to that beat? 'wot do u call it'. lol. im not sure hes all there sometimes.

not aftershock surely? great producers but their mcs just arent good enough.

that bit where devilman says i gave you an ounce and you thought it was an eighth or something, that kills it! skepta just blew it with the hype bars - its what he was saying on Logan's show - he is the grime brand, he has a few lyrics that everyone knows - so when he spits its instant association, and thats what people like - not too mention most of his bars are sick aswell, JME may have started bbk but Skepta is the one who props it up for most grime fans

is shotz's 'thunderbolt' ever gonna see release?

is shotz's sarga house ever going to see the light of day either? that tune was gettting consistantly merked a while back, pure hype. dj shotz = big producer

ok

name me the bbk roster. now I don't mean wiley or stryda cos these guys both have seperate record deals and that. I mean actual members who are bbk all day every day

besides the 4 JME releases (and the spinoffs) what have there been? include vinyl I guess...

2nd phaze..ok, i'm back you know..right...what am I missing? help my brain out guys...

rockypoppy2 you dun know - shotz is sick

listened to newham gens on sunday - it was only footsie but the beat selection from tubby was too much! he gets some maad s***

sweet mother is...alright. I really, really appreciate the sentiment...I mean its what the scene needs...some heartfelt bars and different subject matter but the production just is not the one

the original is such a undeniable community classic that you've either gotta do A LOT with it or...just leave it alone

both frisco's mixtapes came out on bbk didnt they? tunnel vision 4 and 5 definately, not sure about the other ones

i cant put my finger on anything else at the minute

duppy or dups?

best thing about sweet mother is duppy on the flip - big tune!

dups is over big...duppy got riiiiinsed out

is frisco an actual member of bbk though or a guy who just teamed up to help boost the profile? I mean that's what wiley did/is doing/has done

see bbk is more like a co-operative rather than a label or crew to me...sorta like how roll deep are now...it seems the only two members are jamie and skepta..big members no doubt, lets not be dumb, but still only two. when you think about it...I swear even skepta wasn't down from day but obv reps 100% now though

oh yeah...where is Nappa? and Alias?
