yes as you say this is subjective but this is surely a fairly limited view of the art of DJing? your perspective seems to be that the only point in downloading or listening to a mix is to hear 100% tunes you've never heard before. which leads to you making the assumption that the djs are...
when i listened to this in vinyl junkies i couldn't tell that he'd done anything to most of the tracks... particularly the Fly Lo, which sounded identical to the original to me.
all of his stuff on Something (nine releases or so) is worth a listen. he's been doing the sound since Superlongevity 3 a good few years back. part early house, part Theo Parrish's That Day/How I Feel 12"...
I highly doubt Anstam has anything to do with Ernestus or Oswald. its presentation (naming conventions and so on) indicates it may be Torsten Profrock... but total guess.

yeah, confused about the dettmann/swing thing. he's a decent producer, but his beats are quite rigid. not so keen on him as a dj, at least at home, anyway.
the snd was hard for me to stomach. i like makesndcassette and tender love alright, but 4/5/6 took things too far... choppy and unpleasant. i liked it better when i thought it was a 33. probably dumped my copy a little too quickly though.
