    GRAVIOUS Mixtape 2008/09 Part 3 - Dubstep/Electronica

Hi all, Happy 2009! Its been a while since I posted anything up here, but thought you might be interested in the third installment of my mixtape series... A whole bunch of brand-spankers in there, along with a few other newer bits, and some remix action. Mostly bass-heavy, melodic...

what I see is beyond your dreaming - sample query

Yup, it is on that album. Can't remember which tune though... I still really like that album, coffee table or otherwise! :)

    Keep waiting for someone else...

The onion is probably my favourite publication ever. The articles are almost invariably hilarious, spot-on or both. This article is pretty much amongst the latter. (no offense to pitchfork contributors...:D) Its a shame there are so many bloody adverts on there now...

    Timbaland Steals Arabic Music

They still do, legally speaking. But if they are going to use a large sample which they don't have copyright clearance for, they are hardly going to credit it are they?

    Timbaland Steals Arabic Music

Basically. It seems to be a money/exposure thing. People seem to start getting angry about their music being illegally sampled when it looks like they could get a wad of cash from it... On the other hand, it could also just be a mass exposure thing. I'd imagine that if the same works were...

    non-D&B made by D&B producers

The Klute one is an album of techno, electronica and stuff- "You Should Be Ashamed". Came as a 2 CD set with "Lie Cheat and Steal". Fanu's downtempo stuff is pretty good. Also, check Intex Systems - ASC's downtempo/dubstep alias. Martyn's dubstep is boss as well. Juju has a few good dubstep...

    venetian snares- black sabbath

This looked ok on paper, but I'm afraid it sounds pretty pap to me... Couldn't bring myself to listen to it again really! The production just sounds a bit shit to me, whether knowing or otherwise.

Thats a shame, its a good un... Oh well, theres daft amounts of other Skream tunes I'd like to see, so hey ho. Cheers for the info!

    Sugarbabes

Correct. Keisha is far from "butters". The new member that replaced Mutya is comical though. Its as if they just took her picture, ran it thru a photoshop filter that made her 100% hotter and 100% blander, and found someone that looked like the result.

Bloody hell! Haven't listened to this un in a while. This was/is a quality mix, and to this day is lodged in my brain. First time I heard: Skream - Sweetz (what happened to this? gone the same way as a million other skream bits I suppose) Cyrus - Indian Stomp ! Lethal B - Hitman (this a...

Yeah, its borked. Jamie Woon thing sounds interesting, not heard it yet. Any burial stuff is always welcome though. Just listened to Plastician's BBC show from earlier this month: Skream - Plastician Special ! and that L Wiz track! Fuckin ell. Was getting a bit bored with some Skream and...

    Music in ten years time.

What was/is "authenticity" though? Isn't it just reference to a past/present identity/discourse that now appears fixed, but was once as fluid and unstable as the new construction that seeks 'authentification' from it? Surely most 'new' things contain many elements of 'old' things anyway, so...

DUBSTEP- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

aaaagh Touching Down was bad... let us not speak of it again. Much love for roni was lost in the purchasing of that album. Bad tunes, badly mixed (not even full tracks!). Anyways, know what you mean about dub police. Some absolute belter tunes on it, and some that just don't cut it for me...
