    Late nineties hiphop recommendations

This is my possibly my favourite period of hip-hop too...and not so much the Rawkus type stuff, though some of that was alright. It's all about Ruff Ryders, Cash Money, No Limit, 3-6 Mafia etc. I'd say, check any of those first-wave Cash Money albums, like '400 Degreez' or 'Chopper City In Da...

    Trance

hahaha! i can smell the air pie already! ...records like "Age Of Love" were good though, and I suppose that was trance. I'm surprised some dissensusites aren't into it just to be contrary, though. I kind of admire the pure fucking numbness of trance but I can't go there.

    UK Tech House

I phrased that wrongly really, what I meant was, the DJs who pushed that kinda sound (at least down South) were previously playing stuff like MK, Strictly Rhythm stuff, US garage, MAW, bits of Todd Terry etc, but late 92 (not so coincidentally, when those mindfuck Snowball Es came out) the sound...

    UK Tech House

little bit earlier, but would you count the Swag records amongst this, like Drum Hydraulics and Dark Corners? I think you should. This really WAS the shit mid to late 90s - clubs like Wiggle etc. Grew out of the trippier end of US house. Very good stuff, not sure how some of it dates now though...

I've read that yeah, the criticism is KINDA obvious though isn't it? ie, rape, nazism, abusing women, white male power, serial killers are BAD and you shouldn't do it.
