Awesome. perhaps a little early to declare the death of the uk-nuum imo. there are future lineages to come and die also.
i think some nuumists read Energy Flash like socialists read Das Kapital.
they won't enjoy post nuum music, not ever.
Its somewhat similar to that true-school golden-age hip hop school, isnt it
can def respect that however, the allegiance to a set of principles
Who gives a shit what some faceless and not very good music journo thinks on a crap website?
yeah gotta agree with that, the couple of things i've heard by him have really stood out, great bass melodies and loads of space. take a brave selector to slam one of those on in a bubbling dance tho.If it counts as whatever this music is, I must say that logos' stuff is uniformly excellent, really disappointed I couldn't see his set last night to be honest. Quite interesting percussion as well, though I'm not entirely sure how that sort of stuff would go down in a club. Will find out soon enough I guess.
Great quote on dsf in response to the Blackdown piece.
heard the word brostep at least 3 times in there.
instantly took it less seriously
logos's set was really, really good - saturday night london crowd tho, majority dancing then when he went into more of his own tunes a lot of them backed off. i thought it was great tho.If it counts as whatever this music is, I must say that logos' stuff is uniformly excellent, really disappointed I couldn't see his set last night to be honest. anyway all this post dubstep shit to me is the marginalized dubstep crowd making house and passing themselves off as original whilst largely ignoring the existence of uk funky which preceded it and citing shit like kwaito as predominant influences.
I've read part of this thread, it was an interesting discussion. I'm still confused what this topic is about though. Would someone, by any chance be able to provide a summary of what went on in this topic and what the general consensus is?
Is this thread about the a continuity between genres in the UK, from hardcore to jungle, uk garage to dubstep + grime and now funky?
I'm assuming most people here disagree with this?

You just stepped over the mark you little cunt. That's not funny, and it's unpleasant.
Leave, juanroberto. Really. Just leave. And don't come back. It was fun while it lasted. Thanks. Bye.
