I bet you just crouch in the corner spamming sonic booms and flash kick the instant the other character gets anywhere near you - CHEAP! :p

Lol. Of course, there's tons of ways through Guiles basic pattern if u know what you're doing... I've got a killer 4 hit spinning knuckle combo with ur name on it.

Vega and Ryu all day every day.

On the subject of game OSTs though, Yuzo Koshiro's "Streets Of Rage" soundtracks. All fucking gold.

SoR soundtracks are outstanding. They probably account for 40-50% of the reason why I was mildly obsessed with both games. Prefer 2 (with Motohiro Kawashima) to 1, but they're both glorious. Made a point of tracking them down a few years ago, and still occasionally give them a listen when yearning for a return to the days of 16-bit.

vega or yokozuna (e.honda for those who bought the shitty UK version) were the best. Ryu & Ken are weak.

Chun Li's kick's were danger man, pure danger.

I used to pause the screen when she did a high Kick so I could see her panties.

Tell me about it. Joker put up Yuzo DJing his old soundtracks for some thing in Japan, and I was ecstatic. Plus it's always hilarious to watch dudes actually raving to stuff like the Stage 2 theme....

I don't think I've ever played a single game of Street Fighter. Any of them. Wasted childhood clearly.

Those videos of the guy DJing are great though, may see if I can get hold of the MP3s.

a chinese guy i work with took his english name from streetfighter... "ken"... good thing he didn't come to the US 5 years earlier or he'd be named mario or zelda...

all about ken and his dragon punch. it got ridiculously long-range as sf2 went on.
i have the sf2 trilogy thing for my old ps2 but have no idea what sf4 is like.
it was the greatest arcade game of my youth though.
mortal kombat too.

I'm serious about this. Anyone who wants to fight and happens to be visiting Dublin, let me know and Ill dust down the SNES.

Alternately, if there's anyone in London with a SNES, SF II turbo and 2 decent controllers, Ill be happy to pay you a visit next time I'm over.

We can start a league, and then, when the dust settles, you can all bow down before my indestructible Guile. The only chance any of you wastemen have of beating me is with a blazing Blanka.

my mate could complete it with any character on one credit (30p) that was aged... dunno actually, quite young, 10 or something. we used to use the one in the mini cab office. i make no claims to greatness cos i have seen real masters at work.

1 credit isn't anything special, but good point. My claims to greatness are all based on the assumption that the dissensus massive are mostly amateurs. :p

I had a mate who could perfect you with spinning piledrivers from Zangief which takes serious skill. That said, I slaughtered him last year primarily by using Guile's gay flying medium knee.

I dunno if this is actually good or if I just like it because it reminds me of being young and not completely polluted with bitterness and cynicism

Nah that is good, lots of good music in Sonic. Diddy Kong Country had lots of good stuff too.

my favourite when i was little was the ghost house theme in Mario.
