It could be argued that he's important because he pretty much embodies the distilled essence of that class's traditional values but unlike the rest of them* he doesn't mind letting everyone know about it. What I find (darkly) funny about him is how he sabotages the other royals' attempts to come across as inclusive, PC and generally 'nice' (Wills's gap year do-gooding, Charles's luddite hippyism...). It's not a case of finding racism 'funny' in itself, any more than Chris Morris actually thinks child abuse or drug addiction is inherently hilarious.

(*apart from Harry of course, who seems to be cut from much the same cloth)

i knew he wasnt the most socially aware person anyway, but PP is like the king of cringe comedy. almost a genius at it. he's old too btw. old people lose their internal censors. he never had a very good one from the looks of it, but its obvious someone like that would just end up coming out with more crazy shit as they get older. his lack of social grace is sort of amusing though. ive heard much worse to be honest.
