jfc barty, do you really believe this shit?
It seems like this is a matter of faith to you.
If we're not going to work from a rational, evidence-based paradigm then I'd rather not go on with this discussion.

agree that porn culture is a huge factor in this.
when you say 'the rise in feminism', what type of feminism do you mean? because the pro-porn 'sex positive', 'choice' feminism seems to be more visible at the moment than the radicals afaics (see the prostitution thread to get a little idea of what i mean).
im talking more about the things like changing gender roles, women wanting equal pay, the general 'third wave of feminism' awareness thats been in all liberal western media the last few years. tbh i havent really seen much of the sex positive, pro choice feminism you mention. and that kind of feminism, anything that encourages women to have more sex, is not likely to piss men off.
i have arrived at my conclusions precisely because of evidence and rational thinking, nothing to do with faith. i'll admit you'll find it hard to convice me that porn is the answer to gender inequality but you can try if you like, i'm all ears.
its both a turn on and also more threatening
which basically = 'they must be punished'
Similarly people who only had their first access to porn later in life are more likely to commit sex crimes.
If you excuse the language, they want both their virgins and their whores too (channeling freud vía dworkin here, but i think the dichotomy holds true and is even more relevant these days)
this is interesting. cant imagine there is a great upside to being exposed to it early in life though.
I think they want their 'whores' to be in some sense the other or disenfranchised in some way.
It wouldn't surprise me if the idea that promiscuous women are inherently victims is a manifestation of this.
despite never visiting popular streaming sites of this sort of degrading filth
I reckon the more 'classy', 'erotic' end of things is growing much more popular
