its been a minute since i posted here but i found this and it reminded me of this place.

its a review of a pretty crap diy shop that i pass on my way home, between november and january each year it doubles up as a fireworks emporium - last new years i was cycling past after midnight on january 1st and they were loading up a luton van whilst lads were driving up and down the A-road shooting rockets out their sun roofs.

you can find all the reviews by a given reviewer when you click on their name but no more than that, there's not a ranking system or a trending reviews section or really anything to prioritise one from another, which makes it a much more rewarding social media format for the connoisseur. theres a complete lack of any potential for fame or recognition. you can't meet your peers or contact your heroes. a very noble art form where the only motives for contributing are to enrich the collective experience, with occasionally brilliant instances as in the case above.

someone must be archiving these?

Where do i start this place is where miracles happen, me and my best friend, whose looks quite frankly leave a lot to be desired, both turned our fortunes with the ladies around after visiting this place. I went through a breakup earlier on in the year and morale wasnt high as it could have been and i wont get into too much detail but after Deb worked her magic i cant keep the girls away! Deb had just done the place up and has a really modern feel, she even sorted out parking for us by letting us name-drop her to the boys outside the nearby garage, that's a level of respect that you just cant buy! Deb herself has been in the biz before i was even in the womb and knows EXACTLY what shes doing she could probably write a book on it. A cornerstone of the community and a strong independent businesswoman this is what they dont show you on TV! On a side note I should add we went during the Covid stuff which a lot of places will just stick a sign up and turn a blind eye, but not here no sir, its enforced religiously and rightly so I was taken aback by the show of professionalism. What a gal see you soon Deb xx

gotta say its a beautiful park on our doorsteps and doesnt get too busy which is nice. the curvy hedges are trimmed to perfection, hats off to the the hedge trimmer. however the other hedges the squarey ones could do with a once-over ever heard of a dumpy level mate? went there with my main man muminho and it didnt disappoint beautiful summers day an absolute treat! staff are treated poorly btw there was one brudda i met there deserves a better life sort it out council! vet your contractors policies for petes sake!

If this had a 2.5 star it would get a 2.5 star. its average. mediocre. nothing spesh. meh. its like a britney spears album as in - thanks britney for the effort but does it help me sleep better at night?? probably not. went with my boy who unfortunately is in dire need of a root canal and the pungent tacos did him no favours. this is another one of those places that you go there expecting an authentic mexican and what you get is an amateur foreign dude throwing veg and meat in a wrap and hoping for the best. the service was good and the staff were nice but frankly the food good be better and i really hope the turn it around.

obviously whats good about it is the level of effort given nobody is ever going to see it. but also the picture you build up of the reviewer. some of these i might find annoying if you saw them on twitter but im inclined to warm to them since theyre just speaking into the void

deadout. LIE factory more like. the pies are precooked and frozen and arent fresh like they would have you believe. plenty a brother have fallen for the trick of the factory made meal masquerading as an authentic classic. pie is a british classic but all of them taste like theyve been lathered in grandmas 4 day old curry that you eat coz you dont wanna hurt the old bags feelings. the veg was burnt to a crisp. i ate once and ran to the mosque opposite to ask for forgiveness coz i was shouting all sorts of profanities after tasting the aloo ting. we deserve better. end this now!

Decent reminder of home if youre a westerner and do mediocre indian dishes aswell. The spicy beans were very interesting and every time i ordered was like seeing an old friend again. Service was pants with zero eye contact i did not feel special at all but then again im there to eat. waiter must have been in the middle of a whatsapp group chat roasting or something coz he couldnt get away from his phone. that being said he was still a good dude with the occassional warm smile like mr miagi. all in all...worth going to!

I love to read people going in on something they love or hate and much better if it isn’t someone trying to write well or be too clever

Yes I think this is where the beauty lies

yeah, there was one person i was going to post, he has 100 reviews of bubble tea places, that he loves, and then a handful of ones for like, the homerton hospital parking area, which has 1 star and just says "full of beggars dont give em a penny".

the original post i dont get the feeling hes trying too hard to be clever, because again, wheres the payoff really, they sound off the cuff enough and mad enouhg and also, you're introduced to this small recurring band of characters, eg his friend "muminho" who occasionally features

Worst GP practice in the country. You have to jump through fire hoop’s set by reception staff before getting an appointment to see the Dr. I believe these are in the instructions of the GP himself because with so many complaints, surely he would have done something to rectify things. But he hasn’t. This practice should be closed down. But because of shortage of GPs they are getting away with it. Disgusting.

Askmygp online service can only be used between 8am-10am on weekdays. My GP there agreed to a shared care agreement with a private provider which would have saved me tons of money but then did a u-turn without warning and refused, essentially meaning I now will need to spend hundreds a year on healthcare which is worse than what I could have been getting because it's all I can afford. Will be looking for a new, more cooperative GP.

I have not eaten worse fish&chips Very dry very small. Very old cake. I think the fries had to be left for 2 hours and waited for me. Probably they felt sorry to throw it into the trash. But for the client, you can sell. I do not want to believe for the quality of zero points out of 10

Good evening Adam,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such warm and welcome feedback. Maddie, and the GM, will be delighted!
Come again soon :)

insert ubiquitous exclamation mark, people getting called out over old cake, shots allegedly fired at Harry Ramsden’s (not really)

Versatile space that accomodates various kinds of kink and clubbing. I visited here for a Klub Verboten event and had a great time. I was treated to a dancefloor, a cinema and a very well equipped dungeon. The lightning outside of the dance area is tinted red or blue depending on where you are in the club and I could almost imagine I was in a peep show booth or kinky porn set. Facilites here a great too with a disabled access toilet and generously sized changing/dressing room.
