to be fair I think that if anyone brings up their BMW, asking if their life is empty is fair game. it's a pretty established cultural rhythm. someone drives fancy sports car to show off; someone else takes the piss. I also considered asking whether his drip-tip still works, but it was too cliche.

telling people you own a BMW is a very Tea move. I mean, the content is clearly different, Tea would never own a BMW. but the form is the same. does that make sense?
