LOL Yea, Hollywood. I was running a few tunes from new producers, and that really stood out to me. Without the sample the tune would be really cool

That Jack Daniels track is crazy, hard as fuck. Not sure if I like it, some pretty cheesy elements to it, but I'm sure it would destroy in the right club.

Now that vinyl releases have become virtually extinct, what do you do? Typically I only like playing 320 mp3s or wavs, but this is also becoming difficult in grime. Very few releases are offered in this format, most being offered on itunes in terrible 128kbps quality.

Even up-and-coming producers do their free-giveaways as shit quality mp3s. It makes me think that even IF they did give them away as 320s, it is doubtful they actually even are high quality still since if they just convert a 128kbps to a 320kbps mp3, you just have a shit sounding 320.

How is everyone dealing with this? Do you compromise on quality now by playing tunes with lower bit rates? If this is the case, does it still warrant paying for those tunes? Or do you, like me, find yourself forced into buying and playing more dubstep/funky b/c they have the sense to make their music available in this way?

Most stuff you can get 320. Obviously anything pre 2006 is impossible to get 320s unless it was on a CD.

I still dont struggle to play full 2009 sets of Grime when I play out. Obviously its slight easier for me to get the music, but still, its there, 7 digital is where I get my digital downloads.

Terror Danjahs Gremlinz is out on vinyl, as is the Industry Standard 4. And Goodz Concrete Streets with a Zomby mix on the flip.

i dunno about 320s but listening to the diff between maniacs skenged out on the 12 and on the cd, theres like a world of difference. and i dont think thats just vinyl vs cd, whoever handled the cd just didnt do a good enough job on making it sound as full and vibrant as whoever did the vinyl, which i imagine is pretty much a standard scenario.

Jack Daniels has been 'forthcoming' since the flipping Creation, it seems. :p I'm still totally going to buy it if and when it comes out though. NHNH is an excellent label.

Well I first played it a week after it was made or something, but I know for a fact its gone to press. The EP also includes Best Crawler the collab with Terror which is nice.

Somehow Tinchy gets away with doing mersh tracks and keeps his integrity intact but chippy just sounded terrible...
