GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Lol

uk hip hop rapper dubbledge does a grime parody and in the process makes the best track of his career. the beat is more like bad drum n bass than grime, but weirdly, i really like this. he needs to link up with ruff sqwad. tactics, this ones for you.

http://www.dubbledge.com/mp3/Lips_to_da_floor.mp3

EXCELLENT - that's nearly better than 'swag mc burial' - LMAO...is it just me or is he impersonating some ppl - I swear I heard a Scratchy takeoff lol

I just wanna say that D.O.K's 'Dokument E.P' is f***** man......at least someone's keepin the sound going....

Ach!

Turd on the Run
yeah, decent tune.. wiley's bars are big.. in fact all of wiley's new bars are massive, esp his guest appearances on frisco's mixtape

Bumbaclaat badman!

It's on Slew Dem's "Blaze More Dan U" mixtape, track produced by Chronik I think. Skepta namechecks Welbourne primary school, which I always park outside to when I get the tube from Tottenham Hale, and St Pauls secondary where I used to do guitar lessons after school when I was still in primary. I'm pretty grime, no?

<b>ADMNT002 - SCORCHER - 'CHANCE US'/TERMINATOR - 'BEEF WITH T'</b>

The big <a href-"http://www.myspcae.com/scorchercb">Scorcher</a> single 'Chance Us' landed today on 12" vinyl with a B side from fellow Cold Blooded member <a href="http://www.myspace.com/mcterminator">Terminator</a> entitled 'Beef With T' produced by Scorcher himself!

The <a href="http://www.myspace.com/eskiboywiley">Wiley</a> produced 'Chance Us' received a lot of support off the back of his 'Simply The Best' mixtape release (still available in stores), and after making the 1xtra A daytime playlist, it was the natural choice to be the first single release from the CD. Both tracks are accompanied by their respective instrumentals for all your DJing needs!

<b>ADMNT003 - MERCSTON FT. GHETTO - 'GOOD OLD DAYS'/MERCSTON - 'WHO'S MERCS?'</b>

One of the most exciting crossover Grime tracks of the summer lands on 12" vinyl finally. Attracting intrigue and interest from the UK Garage scene for it's unique production and reflections on a time when it was all about swapping TDKs and sneaking into raves, this track puts a new spin on the effect Garage had on a young <a href="http://www.myspace.com/mercston">Mercston</a> and Ghetto before they had ever began to write their own rhymes. Production by Ruff Sqwad's Rapid on both A and B sides provide some serious ammo for your box in the form of 'Good Old Days' and 'Who's Mercs?'.

Both vinyl are either available now or from this weekend from the following stockists; <a href="http://uptownrecords.com/ukgarage/grime.html">Uptown Records</a>, <a href="http://www.ukrecordshop.com">UKRecordshop.com</a>, <a href="http://www.independance-records.co.uk/ug.htm">Independance Records</a>, <a href="http://www.rhythmdivision.co.uk/categories.asp?SearchCriteria=2&SearchType=CAT">Rhythm Division</a> and <a href="http://www.dubplate.net">Dubplate.net</a> with more to follow. If your local stockist does not carry the vinyl, you can tell them to contact <a href="mailto:adamantium@logansama.com">Adamantium@logansama.com</a> for more info

re: bumbaclot badman, tune is overly stiff, enjoying it very much.

and, Chronik's Blaze More Dan U mixCD is fucking SHOWER.

I know that Chronik is not the deepest skippy-flow-mc-guy, but he overly makes up for it in vehement suck-your-mum-I-will-shoot-out-your-bone-marrow conviction.

I'm really enjoying this CD, maybe this is because I got it at a moment where I'm especially ready for some angry, evil, fuck-you shit, but I actually think it's really good. Also it' got a bag of waifer beats on it, one of the only guys still producing real, gritty grime tunes.

And no, I'm not one of these grime guys bigging up Chronik because I'm scared of him.

J Mix - 'Sweet Love'

 Damn! I love this.

Who knows this one? Will it be getting a release (or is it old and I didn't know about it)? I've heard Tootsi and maybe Glamma drop it in the last week. It has a bit of a chopped/screwed thing to it.

anyone still like grime on this board?

apparently skepta was on rinse saying his album (not mixtape) will be out at the end of the month. that probably means november but still. hope its good. am kinda bored of mixtapes though, theyre so hit and miss, like half hearted albums. theyre basically just like middling albums but without the responsibility of having to meet the same criteria as albums cos theyre merely 'mixtapes'. ukrecordshop has a new roll deep and wiley album advertised (apparently hes 'in the US' working on a new album) as well...

yeah, i still like grime..

I didn't really listen to rinse for most of the summer cos I was out of london but I've heard loads of good sets recently (newham gens 2 weeks ago, skepta and ruff sqwad on sunday, J5 and spyro etc).. I've also been getting into dubstep quite hard over the last few months and I thought maybe this meant i wouldn't be feeling grime so much.. but nah, I've heard loads of good grime recently.

has anyone been following the wiley vs ghetto/scorcher thing?? there's been some quality dubs come out of this. Maybe logan would be so kind as to upload them here? ;)

here's a video of their clash at 93 feet east (I think).

yes - there was a brilliant wiley dub (vrs the movement) on logan's show last night...he seems to hit a real high each year (usually about this time as it goes - and usually when he's pissed with someone)
