heres a few of my favourite slow jams. have a listen mr tea. you will probabaly realise that you do actually love it. you might spontaneously jism in your jeans.

we can make love in the bedroom floating on top of my waterbed
im kissing you running my fingers through your hair
In the hallway
Making love beside the stairs
We can do it anywhere...
I can love you in the shower
Both of our bodies dripping wet
On the patio we can make a night you won't forget
On the kitchen floor
As I softly pull your hair
We can do it anywhere, anywhere...

I can see how SAWII could be sexy as a piece of instrumental music. Laid back 80s jazz like Billy Cobham (Heather is in fact possibly the most sexy track I have in my collection) and that Miles '80s CD of pop music covers (wicked cover of Time After Time) sets the mood right...

Gotta agree with Luka, the slow jams have their place too - will check the youtube links later!

What is "sexy music"? I thought that it meant something different from "music for having sex to" - which is not something I really have because I'm not the kind of person who likes to think ahead, set the scene, get the music ready if you know what I mean. I thought that sexy music ought to be music that makes you want to have sex or wish you were having sex or something, I don't know. Slowjamz are a definite no-no in either case (never say never though I guess). I've got lots of semi-pornographic records but I'm not sure if they are really sexy .... I do like Zoom Party by Albert Van Dam and Music For Orgies by Cashmakers Orchestra but they're more joke records to surprise/annoy everyone when you're dj-ing rather than something to get you in the mood.

Sex music for ant people?.

Precisely. It's interesting to note Adam Ant's gradual accumulation of spending power and its impact on his sleeping arrangements in the various versions of 'You're So Physical" - in the recordings pre-1980, he was referring to his "mattress" - then, when he signed to CBS, the lyric was changed to "bed".

Real deep ambient throb works for me, somethin like Ian Nagoksi "Violets for your Furs" or the first side of New Humans "Disassociate"

If you have to do the sweetyboy thing one of those mid 90's Ron G "blends" tapes are about as good as it gets

I've found Sade's first album in the record collection of a disturbing number of uh, "partners"

this is my definition of sexy music. the songs playing whenn youre with a girl you like and you tihnk she like you and the song is playing and the sexual tension is rising to absurd levels as a result

my definition is different..to me it's just a representation of what i find sexy. it needs to be romantic, bit perverted, clever and doesn't have to make me think about sex at all.

Most seductive dancefloor thing I've heard this year is that Paul Woolford 11 minutes of magic mix of Funky Green Dogs Reach For Me.

2 minute tribal boogie intro
1 3/4 minute bass bump tension build
7 slow burning minutes of diva led disco funk

Massive bass. Impossibly deep mix. Buttery smooth. Sex.

funny thing about fucking to a beat is that while it can be amazing but you can also sometimes feel corny like you are fucking on a music video or something.

that's totally true...

i think music is better for setting a MOOD than for actually fucking too...

2) real cool time- stooges
3) these arms of mine- otis redding

I'm listening to some of Luka's hot picks - thanks for trying to show me the light and all that, but I'm afraid I'm a lost cause on this one! :)

It breaks my sexy-music rule by being explicitly about sex (well, S&M, at any rate) but VU's "Venus In Furs" is pretty damn sexy. I actually (got) pulled at a party to that song once years ago, too, though no S&M was involved at the time.
