thanks muser. yes that peruvian style goes deeeeep... when djs who really know their chichas throw down it is so very sweet.

and among the dozens of Peruvian and Colombian styles (of which cumbia is of course only one), the lesser known to us ones are beautiful as well, and often even more percussive and closer to African drumming... my next mix will tackle some of this stuff
