Thought I would hoy a few standards that I rinse when I'm out DJ'ing together for a mix, check out 'Let her roll' by Fridgeman please, he's a NCL local, track sounds like un-swung techno funky or something!

I used Ableton for this, took me bloody ages, lot's of re-edits

Actually you know what, I can't stress strongly enough how many good new tunes there are in that Smoove K set that Slackk linked to. Well worth a listen. If you allow me a rather nerdy moment, it sounds particularly good on headphones. :)

OK here goes (it's a good thing I never sleep anyway, this took me way too long to do):

(could be by Undisputed)

(seems to be by Major Notes, don't know the tune title though)

Bumping these un-IDd tunes just on the off-chance.
(Apologies for my relentless trainspotting, but you're used to it by now I'm sure).

1. This has been ID'd before on Marcus's shows but I can't remember now. Might be Naughty Raver or some other midlander.

2. Not sure who it's by but it's a refix of Booka Shade's "In White Rooms" - huge tune.

3. Undisputed - Terror (VIP) - AWESOME tune

4. Definitely Major Notes but i'm not sure what it's called.

Actually I'm not too sure what the difference is between "Terror" and "Terror (VIP)".

"Sunglasses" and "Sunglasses (VIP)" were pretty similar too except that the VIP wasn't as good.

That said I love that Undisputed do VIP mixes - a much more subtle recall of jungle/d&b than, say, Champion making kinda boring "Lighter" knock-offs etc.

(that's not a blanket criticism of Champion though who is often brilliant)

I'd like to see Royal P come with some new tunes, Between us was such a great tune. Come to think of it there's quite a few really promising funky producers that seem to have disappeared off the map.

circle sets often sound a bit samey to me, and a tad empty at times, all high production values but not much going on, but the mix from yellow is really really good. lots of good vocals on there too. better than most of the uk funky ones imo (tho obv these are played by funky djs too) even if they are more traditional house. the vocals also fit better overall. funky djs, even marcus i find seem to just bung vocals in wherever sometimes, as if they feel they have to stick them in just cos (i actually prefer the en bloc approach cos it means theyre out of the way early/in one bulk), but they seem to fit much better into the set as a whole here.

Thanks for this.
And thanks to Benny too for the latest Petchy set, got it on now and it's another cracker so far.

Who does that 'Kiss me there' tune? Its probably an oldie but

edit: never mind

Still got a soft spot for the vocal tunes. There's still loads of good ones about I reckon.

I quite like that new Rudimental tune but the intro reminds me a bit of Jamie Cullen.
Think that tune at 22 mins is Pandemonium by Paul Woolford:
There's some mad tunes right near the start of the set actually. That one with the horns at about 3 mins...
