I can't live in a country that picks Boris Gove and Mogg in a popularity contest over our Jeremy

If the results hold, Johnson will have far exceeded expectations and should be able to easily pass his Brexit deal. It would be the biggest Conservative majority since Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's 1987 victory, and a disaster for the opposition Labour Party and its leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

For fuck sake, Ken.

"Ken Livingstone tells PA 'It looks like the end for Jeremy. I'm sure he'll have to resign tomorrow' - he goes on to say 'The Jewish vote wasn't very helpful' which may well cause some eyebrows to shoot up."

setting aside the jewish vote reference, how can any party leader stay in place after such a drubbing? leaders have to take responsibility.

They can't. The "for fuck sake" was directed at him not being able to resist taking a dig at "the Jewish vote".

Corbyn has to go now. He's had a couple of bites at the cherry and Labour have been obliterated tonight. They've lost seats they've held since the '20s and '30s and the only gain I've seen so far is Putney.

Nigel Dodds just lost his seat. Sinn Fein win Belfast North. Apparently the first time it hasn't been won by a Unionist.

at the time, the question time they did with both nigel farage and russel brand on at the same time was supposed to be a bit of a novelty; just a bit of a laugh. it ended up remaking british politics. 5 years and one day later, the british public were asked to chose between farage's vision of britain and... russel brand's.

the bloodlust of the centrists at the moment is palpable and cathartic. a near orgasmic outpouring of rage, contempt and disdain.
