Yeah, Vox. Fucking pricks. It is quite worrying.I know this new party over there is going big into Franco love
The UK is firing up a very realistic Romanian communism simulator: neighbours dobbing each other in, queues, supply chain problems, government-mouthpiece media, economic crapness, vigorous censorship leading to self-censorship
And I'm not anti lockdown either despite having gone through it so I hope no one got me wrong
where in the UK do you live if you dont mind divulging that senstive information
SW London
Not quite sure what u mean by stronger. We're probably fucked, unemployment was sky high here anyway and its hard having your own business here. Then thetes the loss of tourism...Are they getting stronger cos of it or anything? Andalusia seems it's own thing tho anyway, my very basic holiday impression

I will say that people seemed to accept the conditions more easily than you might imagine and mostly stuck to the rules. But its just an impression. What do I know really? I was cooped up for two months!
I do agree with this distinction but think it is more appropriately made between status gained and status gifted: had Boris been an average student, he would never have got into Balliol - where he may well have studied alongside nascent professors of epidemiology (some of whom have been stunningly wrong in their modelling efforts).
and...faith in the meritocratic elite stratum: the assumption that the best are actually that good...
...unreasonable faith in individual human character...
Possibly but you have to remember it hit really hard here before it did in UK, and we seem to have contained it better.well not all lockdowns are equal are they. you can overdo it and spain definitely overdid it
No need to apologise. There is some stuff you can claim but to be honest I don't fully understand how it all works. Spanish bureaucracy is a nightmare thoughJust meant are they gaining power/votes/public sympathy. Sorry, I've no idea how the politics there works.
Yeah sounds rough, cos like you say, so much of that whole region is on the tourism. Was there furlough system in place like here?
Oh come on, the guy went to Eton. Kids there are prepped for this life like hothouse flowers - since well before they even get to Eton, in fact. The idea that someone from that background must be some sort of giga-brain to have got into Oxford is shockingly naive....then we could start with questioning how someone as incompetent, conniving, venal and nakedly self-interested as Boris fucking Johnson got anywhere near No. 10 in the first place.
Actually i should apolgise cos i obviously misread this post as talkung about andalucia but you were talking about Vox getting stronger, right? My mistakeAre they getting stronger cos of it or anything? Andalusia seems it's own thing tho anyway, my very basic holiday impression
