Obviously I don't actually want to be implanted with a microchip or for Bill Gates to rule the world - then again, since those are fantasy scenarios, that's a bit like saying I don't want to be eaten by a dragon.
But if luka gets a free pass to indulge in his Holocaust 2.0 fantasies on a daily basis, I would hope I can be allowed some latitude for hyperbole.

That's probably true. But liberals and progressive have been telling each other for years that it's vitally important to attempt to communicate with the right-wing populists, to understand their very important pain and dissatisfaction, to try somehow to meet them halfway. But how do you "meet halfway" with someone who thinks a global pandemic is a hoax? It's like asking an astronomer to compromise with a flat-earther.
And what has it bought us? How much progress has been made against the tide of reaction and fantasy? None, that I can see.
