on a personal level, long Covid wise, I’ve had a bounding pulse since March. Lots of odd neurological symptoms with fatigue fucked up my sleep and mood through April but faded. Going to a cardiologist next month to get a proper check up on heart.

it’s scary so we tend to jump to the extremities of mostly just a cold ... or doom, but It’s looking like a pretty weird new virus that’s mostly nothing for most but can effect many systems in lots of ways.

wtf! i shared a crack pipe with you! and a packet of salt and chardonany vinegar deluxe range co-op crisps

Which other countries? The common factor in countries that have done well is deep suspicion of China - Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea. Plus they all eat stacks of fermented foods and aren't, by and large, wheezing fat fucks.

Shit, just saw Shiel's post below ...

I would like to make it clear that I am not an advocate of either trusting China or being a wheezing fat fuck.

Our government have made such a colossal balls-up of the whole thing that I'm edging closer towards your "ban all governments" position.

The problem isn't the virus. The problem has been people for some time now. The elite hate us for being alive. Especially students, they must really hate those poor fuckers.

You wait for all of this to be generalised to every other transmittable disease.

sure. But the scale of infection and uncertainty of outcome causes worry obviously

I suppose the chaos forces us into certain roles doesnt it... sceptic, doommonger, reassurer. The hardest thing to accept and articulate is how much we don’t know

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we start getting compulsory barcode tattoos under the pretence of fighting athlete's foot.:mad::mad:

yeah, all social situations have a kind of built in cast list, a set of roles to be filled. it would be seriously frightening and freaky if there was no Peter Hitchens and his rebel army protesting this stuff. we need them to do it.

Most people have already started thinking of their role in killing someone at far too many removes for one's sanity - we're the butterflies in the chaos theory of infection, soon to be caught in the net.

Presumably the declaration itself is so unconvincing they feel it has to be censored into oblivion.
