US Shenandoah valley and parts of the Appalachian Trail. Fireflies in sultry summer nights, cicadas doing their thing. Walking along ridge paths.

Dream tour would be S America. Still a dream.

I find it near impossible to get my head around this as I hate England so much. It feels like depression manifested as a geographical location. Just a wretched, cursed place

yeah, that was my choice upthread. spicy food, spicier women, all against the backdrop of barely stable governments, just to add an element of excitement/anxiety.

you're right about Colombian and Argentinian cooking, but Venezuelan, Brazilian and Peruvian are often spicy.

Never been to South America but always dreamt of going to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, Bogota. When I was growing up, Caracas seemed like a wild place.
