A while back version posted a link to an article about Surkov from 2011. I'd read it before around the time Hypernormalisation came out, but one thing I'd totally forgotten about is a small comment about Surkov writing lyrics for rock n roll bands, and having a photo of Tupac on his desk.

i read that book, about half of it, he's a terrible writer in long form unfortunately - it all gets very repetitive and boring. i would like to get hold of the actual russian novel written by the guy he's on about, but i don't think it's been translated.

Lately I've been considering an occupation in the US intelligence community, perhaps working toward a hyperstition bureau or some such. Expect this forum to be heavily monitored, assuming it isn't already.

And I've been considering what avenues there are for transparent social engineering. Might be a pipe dream, but I generally believe there are always potential vectors for breakthrough.

Consensual psychological operations, ideology harmonization programs, things to address outstanding feelings of alienation and psychic isolation.

Preferably under the banners of multipolar liberal democracy and triple-bottom-line capitalism.
