Nah I don't think so. I think you haven't trained your brain to hear in halves. It's intuitive to anyone who has mixed two records, you will always hear 180 bpm tracks at 90 without thinking about it. House and techno have that same double speed principle as jungle, it's just that its obscured whereas in jungle its given right to you.
