at some point someone needs to do some proper investigative journalism type stuff into how all this information is being leaked or whatever at the moment. it's amazing to think that someone is gradually putting this out in order to take him out, and that speculation about who is doing this isn't part of the reporting.

Whatever you think about the guy's political views and morality it's beyond any question now that he's really really fucking dumb. I too was just wondering how these things were leaked, but if you're the PM and you invite 30 people to a party during lockdown then you are just giving 30 people a very powerful weapon against you. And now that there have been so many damaging leaks, anyone who was there, or who even knew about it, would be thinking that if they chose to release the information (assuming that was possible without their own presence being revealed) then it could very well be the final thing that brings him crashing down.

It's interesting cos my partner in Invisible Sounds went down to a new venue to talk about potential bookings today. The venue opened just before new year I think and it is owned by or affiliated with Quantica Radio. Quantica is very inclusive and diverse etc they put that very much at the forefront of what they are doing - though looking at the "about" page on their website, it doesn't really go into that as much as I expected.
Anyway, they have a brand new venue which is apparently really good and, for events we have planned in the future, it would be pretty much ideal - if they will have us. Liza was in two minds as to whether to approach them. Would they be up for a party promoted by people who are straight, some of whom are male, mostly white etc Some people told her not to bother, others said no harm in asking and the "nothing to lose" approach prevailed in the end and she went down there to see them. And, at this stage we don't know what will happen but I was quite surprised that they seem willing to entertain the idea of putting on a party that we promote.

He's probably just got so used to getting away with stuff for so long as to have assumed he's basically invincible.
And, bar a couple of sackings that don't seem to have been anything more than a temporary setback in his generally upwards trajectory, his assumption has so far been correct.

So Detective Dick has decided that the police will look into these parties after all, though to be honest, it doesn't feel as though she is gonna stick to their trail like a bloodhound, letting nothing distract her for one second until Johnson finally faces justice for his litany of crimes against humanity.

Not really. Unless my memory is badly faulty, I don't think Cameron had nearly as many as scandals associated with him as Johnson.

oh yes he had much less scandals but i was reffering to the idea that his whole attitude up until this point was that nothing could stop him and outside of one or two minor stepbacks he had every reason to think that

I don't think anybody ever really wants to look into that sort of thing. Remember the Kim Darroch fiasco? We never got to the bottom of that one after Isabel Oakeshott started panicking and had some young bloke take the blame. The whole thing fizzled out and everyone moved on.
There's also the risk of emboldening the government to come down even harder on leakers and journalists if they become a major focus.

I guess the difference with this one is that I can't remember who Kim Darroch is, whereas this current thing is probably going to take out a Prime Minister
Also the way the Nusrat Ghani story was reactivated at the precise moment it was. This is definitely a coordinated hit.
