There's a Ballard one of those RE/Search books that's supposed be decent too.
I have an illustrated/annotated RE/Search edition of Atrocity Exhibition, the margins are filled with Ballard’s commentary and quotations from interviews.
V Vale did a pop-up at a now defunct restaurant/bar/venue I worked at while I was on my shift. He was incredibly kind and seemed genuinely excited to be surrounded by and chatting with so many ‘alternative’ young people showing interest in his booth. I snuck away from the kitchen to browse for a moment. When I went to buy a book, he noticed my apron and, after making me promise not to head straight to eBay afterward, immediately threw in a bunch of extra stuff including AE and a 1977 issue of the neo-Dadaist magazine Vile, which is replete with a hilariously vicious correspondence between Coum-era Genesis P-Orridge and some San Francisco scenester (hilarious not least because its from the period where Gen preferred to use the pronoun ‘E’ in place of ‘I’, fighting off that language virus of course!).
Not to mention this was during the height of my initial enthusiasm for TG, SPK, etc. so I was feeling pretty damn cool the rest of my shift lol. Must have been 2014 or so.
