this is one of those genres (early rythmn and blues?) you wish you had some distant relative thats an expert on who can fill you in because theres endless amounts of this stuff and most of its very dull but when its good its amazing.

Interesting hearing this stuff and knowing country is/was big in Jamaica, you can hear the way those reverb drenched backing vocals appear in Wailing Souls tunes e.g.
