Original Eliane Radigue Trilogie De Mort works on so many levels

low volume blends in with the hum of my defective fridge, ambience for 'working from home'

medium level provides a comforting blanket for sleep

at higher volumes the windows rattle, an all encompassing drone forcing one to contemplate eviction from temporal form

( edit: full disclosure, I bought the GRM CD boxset so I could play her LOUD on my hi-fi, youtube doesn't do her justice )

How is this different from the original then?

I agree though, gonna stick it on again at a medium level to be a comforting blanket for sleep in a sec, I reckon that should work out pretty well.

what @wektor posted was reggaeton remixes of the original electronic drones - the GRM albums are "beatless" ****, oscillations for navigating the bardo

Yeah I figured it out eventually (sort of anyway, see above). At first I just thought that those were like a joke cover - I mean a joke picture on the cover. I didn't know the original, and this fits so well, But when I assumed Wektor did it that was wrong?

I've had a love affair with the original Radique recordings for years, so initially didn't click on @wektor's links to YouTube in the assumption he was talking about the GRM recordings, but when I did press play I was blown away by the reggaeton versions

he's got a point about the "final chapter"

assumed at first these would each be about 4 minutes but going for the full length is way funnier and smarter. an effect comparable to turning on the "rule of thirds" grid on a camera screen.
