No-one's going to be stupid enough to big up Hamas directly here, but they are going to be stupid enough to believe and relay their and Hamas-adjacent PR, which is effectively the same thing.
What I'm waiting for is any sort of attempt to subject that PR to proper scrutiny and logical thinking.

I don't care about PR. I'm talking about casualty figures that even Israel has admitted are broadly accurate.
Forty thousand dead, and rising every day, god knows how many wounded, ten thousand 'missing' (that is, almost certainly dead), the vast majority of them women and children.
You're excusing a mini Holocaust by blaming a militant organisation that Palestinians are powerless to do anything about.

Bingo: the holocaust which cancels out the holocaust, as I said. The PR is in swallowing that figure without realising what it means: for instance, the missing are included in Hamas' statistic. This is about one event, there is no proof it was the IDF, the IDF denied it, there is no context as to why so many were shot, and this does not indicate a formal or informal policy on the IDF's part. Every piece of 'evidence' you bring to the table is either unsubstantiated or poorly understood by even you yourself.

It's not curious at all: then, as now, Palestine poses a threat to Israel's existence so they do things to stop it getting too strong.

Israel poses a far greater threat to Palestine's existence than the reverse. By your logic, Hamas should keep fighting until it has eliminated the Israeli threat. The fact that it lacks the means to do so doesn't affect the moral argument.
I think it's self-evident that Israeli society as a whole, and certainly its present government, is so dysfunctional that it can't imagine its own existence without an enemy that constantly needs to be crushed.

Iran is 80 times bigger than Israel and is pursuing a proxy war in Palestine largely because of how it's perceived by the useful idiots over here and the consequently reduced range of responses permitted to Israel's allies in Europe and the States.
