Do people in Belgium feel similarly toward their national team as the English do? They've had an amazing crop of players yet always seem to disappoint.

I don't watch too much football. Apparently Southgate plays players out of position simply for the sake of being in the team.

Belgium consistently produce class acts. Thinking back to players like Scifo in red (pure talent and worthy of a highlights reel) but they can’t absorb too many injuries without detouring into the long grass, their heads drop, even Wales did them Euro 16

They got caught out in the 4-2-3-1 revolution (even 4-3-3 too), with player size/height and centres of gravity dropping, coinciding with Spain’s glory years with Xavi and Iniesta et al

England should be more consistent overall, like the Dutch, still think they’re a penalty shootout away from breaking into a trophy run, luck favouring the brave and they’re a much more technically adroit team than ten or fifteen years ago

Just saw a clip of England fans on a tram chanting "Kosovo" at Serbian fans on the street.

The main complaint I've heard is he's too conservative once they take the lead. The attacking drops off and he brings players on to defend what they've got rather than pushing for more, even early in the game. That's why so many of our wins seem to be 1-0.
