Power is now about creating the metaphor for the class system to fight against so that capitalism can create further layers of separation between the ruling class and the billionaire class
That assumes there's anything much of a difference any more between those two sets of people.

ive done the odd good one but youve really elevated it to an art form. linbaugh had an inspired period too when he got really fascinated by semen and did a run of tags that were primarily semen based, really intimate depictions of mr tea swallowing semen and kind of draped in semen and semen in his beard and so on. i found that utterly brilliant.
the other thing i like about it is that it forms a kind of forcefield around the forum and makes it completely beyond the pale for any civilized person. its a protective barrier and quite important.
I have to say, it was very clever of mvuent to so precisely your ape your infantile sense of humour. Almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

I've actually always had a pretty crass and mean and untoward sense of humor, so much so that it would regularly get me in trouble with people. Eventually I was housebroken so I do partially credit Luke for showing me that it's actually ok to be a fully grown man thats still a complete infantile loser

One of the biggest fights I ever got in with the ex wife was the week I discovered it was really funny to tell ppl to kill themselves and the humor in that wasn't immediately understood by others

I have a core memory of my boy group of highschool friends wondering out loud tribunal style why it was that no one would roast me but I would roast everyone else. It's cause I was so much better at it than them everyone was afraid to take a shot at the champ. But it was never mean spirited I've always had nothing but love in my heart

Sounds like you got out just in time. Nobody needs that kind of negativity in their life.

There's a sense of Trump having reversed the old tragedy/farce sequence. The first time around was mass hysteria, a clown show. This time the mood feels very different: resigned and sombre on the liberal side, stern and ruthless on the conservative.

I'm wondering whether this could ultimately play in the Dems' favour. If they can sit back, let him make mistakes, then he may well dig his own grave. The alarmist approach has utterly failed.

I examine what President Trump’s tarrifs mean for the economies of the US, China, Mexico, and Canada using G-Cube, a multi-country, multi-sector hybrid dynamic stochastic general equilibrium-computable general equilibrium model

Trump: Federal Workers Will Be Fired Unless They End Remote Work And Return To Office Soon

It doesn’t get clearer than this: return to the office or be fired. Trump gave federal workers a stark warning Wednesday. He announced that federal employees must agree by February 6 to end their remote-work arrangement and return to the office on a full-time basis. Trump asserts that federal workers are unproductive and don’t work most of the time when they are “so-called” working from home.

While speaking at the White House Wednesday, Trump said,

“We don’t want them to work from home, because as everyone knows, most of the time they’re not working. They’re not very productive. And it’s unfair to the millions of people in the United States who are in fact working hard from job sites and not from their home.” He went on to say, “if they don’t agree by February 6 to show up back to work in their office, they will be terminated.”

the aid/humanitarian world is properly spinning from trump freezing all funding. way worse than what anyone was expecting, including the people who work with the us government on a day to day basis and whose job it is to know about these things. no-one knows what's going on coz the orders are vague but suddenly everyone has a fairly severe funding crisis. it's hard to predict but quite a lot of organizations might go under, if you're running on a shoestring and most of your money comes from the US, there's not really a way to deal with a three month stop on money coming in, or at least not if it's done with zero warning

nothing like this has really happened before in the aid world, it's a new one. even when a big funding source cuts funding they usually do it in a cooperate way that gives you a bit or a lot of time

Pretty funny considering that he spent literally a third of his time bunking off the first time he was president.
