Yeah, a xenomorph with a human dick.

Opposite of Elon, a human (pretty much) with an alien dick which was implanted with er an implant that could burst horrifically out of it at any time.

watched prometheus it was gash

I so much wanted it to not be, even as I watched it I was trying to make excuses for it and lying to myself, pretending that the occasional good bit was a hugely important masterstroke that was in no way detracted from by the nonsensical plotting, terrible dialogue and the constant unrealistically stupid actions of every single person in it.

But in the end I just couldn't hold the line any longer and I just completely caved and whimpered helplessly as I had to accept it was utterly irredeemable.

But why... why was it so bad? There was the germ of a good idea in there somewhere but why was the execution so bad? Couldn't they have stopped them being so stupid and tried to make them act better?

It felt so half-arsed, as if they would film a scene and it would be shit but they couldn't even be arsed to do a second take and try to do it properly, or put a bit of effort into rewriting so the dialogue wasn't so embarrassing - yeahhh good enough, on to the next scene.

Unacceptable really, loads of people were looking forward to it, it was the first Alien film for yonks... that scene at the end, why have they all got massive grins and they're high-fiving each other as they smash the ship into a wall and die? Disgraceful.

Yeah, I can never get my head round this when I see these shit Hollywood films. You've got a team of what are supposedly some of the best in the business yet seemingly none of them are able to pick up on the glaring faults in their film.

That's something I actually wonder about at times, like if you're an actor and you are in various scenes which are maybe filmed in a different order from how they will appear and you don't know which take they will use and how they will be edited together and what other scenes are like etc etc How good of an understanding of whether the film is gonna succeed does that actor have? Maybe not that good an understanding...

...but of course there does have to be someone with a complete overview who is putting it all together and so on, and in this film it seemed as though that person* either fucked up, or worse, didn't even care enough to do it properly.

*ti was Ridley Scott again right?

I've read/heard a lot ppl from that world saying that it's a miracle even getting a semi decent film made, let alone a really good one. Not sure why, I suppose because it's such a collaborative thing, under extreme budgetary pressure, and with a studio breathing down your neck.

Plus quite a lot of quite shit films make quite a lot of money so the incentive to make sure something's really excellent isn't as high as it could be.

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps

However, the researchers reasoned that the wasp likely did not intend to kill with the bizarre grasping structure.

Instead, they theorized that the wasp injected eggs into the trapped body before releasing it, using the creature as an unwitting host for its eggs. Its larvae then started their lives as parasites in or on the host’s body and likely ended up eating the host entirely, Vilhelmsen said. The host was likely a flying insect of a similar size to the wasp, he added.

I think wasp parasitism was one of the big inspirations

Horrifyingly I believe wasp parasitism is the most successful evolutionary strategy on earth as measured by species count

By some distant gravity Ridley and Giger exert a pull on present dreams of singularity, Endgames of hunting and extinction, brutal warnaturelogic of class and the triangle of sadness which is the Predator pyramid
