I've never seen these films but the kids I used to work with used to talk about "one man, one bottle" in awe

edit: I am relying for @catalog to remortgage his home for any of this to happen, I've blown my savings on a "reggae pre-amp' which should be arriving next week. ( eBay and rum does not mix )

Here's how i see it, gonna go back to Portugal end of this month... but my aunt has her thing in Manc in June so I'll come visit my parents a few days before and get a ride with them up to Whitefield or something. That being the case I feel I should probably attend the actual do or people may assume I have ulterior motives... anyway that's no problem cos I love hanging out with my aunts and uncles and cousins etc who will probably drink me under the table... but after I recover from that nothing would give me greater pleasure than to meet up for a day or two or even three with you and @catalog if it's at all possible. Clubs pubs record shops whatever. No pressure. Maybe a cousin or two will tag along but I think/hope you will like them. Does that work?
