in abuja i pretty much went from the shit-ish guesthouse i was in to the car to the office and back again. i went walking a couple of nights but it was dark. at the weekend i explored a bit jumping in ubers and chatting, the tunes were good, there was a dirty mosque and a shopping mall. i got this sense of being in the orderly and controlled capital with these massive empty roads, a kind of island, built to keep the rest of the country out.
