You exult in this sinister nonsense. Then if you get defensive about it, you retreat back into a totally safe position of "I'm just saying powerful people pursue their own interests, what's the problem?" Well, of course, nobody who isn't "mind damaged" (whatever that means) is going to disagree with that. But anybody with any historical sense at all would raise an eyebrow at the assertion that there is an "oligarchy...enclosing the whole earth".

The only thing that really comes close to having the sort of overarching global reach being discussed here is probably capitalism itself, rather than any particular agents of it.
