you lot must have seen much shitter el-b sets than i have - last time i saw him he was alright. played everything pitched up to like 145 for some reason, but didnt mind his selection. wasnt as bait as you'd think from this thread.

still, yeah, oneman. or that three-way b2b, whatever, that would be amazing too. asbo on mic.

I work for the production company that makes the Essential Mix. And my boss who produces it asks for my advice at times...although UKG ain't really my strong point so thought I'd ask yous lot.

But yep, I included Oneman on the list, so we shall see...

put him on down in brighton back in april, first 30 odd minutes was two copies of his roots of el-b mixing track to track, then he went into dubstep, playing the stuff i mentioned earlier as well as some wobble stuff i didnt recognise and some halfstep bits.

the only thing that made me happy about that set was how many people went outside for a cigarette once he stopped playing garage.

whoooaa...

what about Duncan Powell, EZ to name 2.

Oneman is a big DJ but there was a time a few years ago when UKG was pretty much just the uptown forum. Those were some dark times.

Holla at DJ Charma if you can find him aswell. He did alot of work in the 'dark ages'

second for EZ, does Oneman even play Garage anymore?
All his recent mixes have seemed to be generic not quite funky/post dubstep

yeah this is a very fair point.

all very well to champion Oneman now (me included) but it's easy to forget 2002-2006 when DJs pushing UKG in the way that Oneman (until recently anyway) is doing, got no recognition at all really.

also, has EZ really never done an Essential Mix? that's actually stupid.

Do not read this.

I have enjoyed his recent mixes to be fair..his selections are really well placed/timed and he always has fresh beats I haven’t heard.

Oh and Jackmaster that stream you did the other night was killing it.
