he's from Flint actually him alongside guys like RMC Mike and most notably Rio da Yung OG have really been active and they collab with the Detroit guys, Lil Yachty has been hanging around that lot lately aswell
A bit more on BRASS - it's so sonically strong. It seems like for the last few years there's been a resurgence in the aesthetics of 70s black consciousness in music with stuff like Angele Bat Dawid, Damon Lock and others. This record seems to extend that and combine it with the next level lyricism of Woods. I feel like it could be a Don Cherry record of something they're rapping over at moments. Muted trumpet and woodblok drums on the second track and then that flip into a r n' b vocal? Wild.
