its quite strange 'music' really when you think of it

That song in particular. It's almost got that pop punk sort of progression people talk about with 2010s stuff. That sung hook with those chords. "Emo rap". The contrast between the verse and chorus is strange too. It's like Onyx over the wrong beat or something.
