ok i know this is killng the anonimity thing, but did anyone get the address SW12, London, England? Cos that's me.
when i first saw this thread i thought it was a really nice idea (still do)... i spent hundreds of hours infront of my tape deck painstakingly assembling compilations on those lovely little tdk 90 numbers and later the ridiculously heavy dark grey plastic basf chrome cassettes.
Then I remembered that was when I was unemployed and that I'm a lazy bastid and i thought to myself... what if everyone bypassed the nostalgic charm of the physical tape and just uploaded a 60/90 minute compilation/mix mp3... u could upload tape cover sized artwork and people could always record it onto a tape from the other end if they wanted to.
I know this destroys half (most? all?) the beauty of the concept but anyone interested in a virtual cassette swap?
