i like hugg & pepp's mamma ep. b-side 'moderkaka' has especially beautiful sounding come down pads.

as far as anthems go its hard to imagine anything this year being bigger than eric prydz 'in and out' feat. adeva. 3 minute 20 second intro/build... daaaaaamn. electro disco. hugg & pepp mix gives it some techno trousers.

four tet remix of nathan fake on border comm is pretty.

oh man, if you're into playing music that makes bitches want to fuck, felix da housecat "like something 4 porno" is the hottest track in the world right now. and the kris menace remix. back 2 back.

can blake baxter and marc romboy ever recreate the magic of "the club - version 1"? i don't know, but by crikey they give it a crack on their new joint "underground thang - version 1".

can't be arsed to check back through this thread, but did anyone mention Carl Craig's remix of Siobhan Donaghy's "Don't Give It Up"? Both sides are great but the dub is a fucking trip. damn...

don't know if it was mentioned, but yes, the dub is absolutley amazing. It's got such a strange structure to it, like it shouldn't work somehow yet does.

This is heavy....not that into Carl Craig usually, or so I thought, but I might have to look into him more deeply. Siobhan D = red-haired ex-Sugababe, right? Does the original sound anything like this>?

hey, funkworm is cool. the other tracks on that single are great too. vibes.

i like the deadmau5 mix of "dark beat" by kamisshake a lot... low-key tech house with a talky-singy vocal, "iiiiiiiiii'm addicted to drums... and I'm a slave to the dark beat". i'd link to it on beatport, but they seem to have taken down the particular mix i'm thinking of... the original is nice, but the remix is a lot more slinky.

oliver huntemann dub mix of crocodile by underworld.

kolombo & compuphonic - emotion.

I just dont know
does anyone have any Move D sets per chance? a couple on his myspace but i was hoping for more, maybe some club recordings...

failing that, what are good general databases for house mixes?

minimal or no... the i:cube mix of 'the feeling' by toby tobias, featuring the lovely kathy diamond - it is pure sex.

obviously been doing the rounds in ibiza this summer. dorian paic played it last night at t bar and the whole place went absolutely nuts...yes you can see it as 'fizheuer-lite' (the first thing that crossed my mind when i heard it) and it'll probably sound like nails down a blackboard in a couple of months, but it's fucking effective stuff...

some decent tunes on his myspace as well: http://www.myspace.com/maysis

i can see the appeal of that, i guess there is enough soul and groove in that 1 bar latin (or whatever) sample to carry the weight of an 8 minute otherwise lifeless and boring as fuck techno track.

but i for one would much, much, much rather listen to 8 minutes of where that sample was taken from.

one mans soul and groove....

well apparently i share the same idea of soul and groove as these minimal people no? else they wouldn't have sampled it would they?

in this case it's only a matter of HOW MUCH of it a piece of music contains.
