like the US never managed to do that to mullah omar. they did manage to kill His successor, but they didn’t manage to kill Akhunzada after that. they never managed to kill Al Zawhiri (well at least when it would have been useful). took them Until after Mosul to kill Baghdadi

They are utterly ruthless. Their on the ground intelligence is at least as good if not superior to the U.S.’s. They have no compunction about innocent collateral damage. Not that the U.S. are angels. “We do the same shit but are much more likely to do so using a proxy so as to maintain plausible deniability.
Even Trump. In his first term had a chance to eliminate a high value target, but was briefed it would probably take out @ 10 family members and wouldn’t give the green light.


My brother in law was in Fallugah when in his own words (albeit hyperbole) we “nucked” them. The difference. We made sure we gave the Iraqi no combatants safe passage before hand out of the city. Then the Marines & Rangers went in and killed everyone who stayed.

Maybe there's a practical explanation for it, but saw someone yesterday saying it's "interesting" they can get at these guys in Iran with almost pinpoint accuracy from over a thousand miles away yet next door in Gaza they claim the best they can do is to just destroy everything in sight to get at Hamas...

Separate issues. Gaza they are trying kill everyone. Man, woman, child, hostage.
In Iran they are playing it coy. The IDF cannot win an outright war. They are only capable of committing massacres. If it comes to conventional warfare without dragging the U.S. in they can’t win.
