    Rinse FM Going Legit

If some else does it I don't see a problem. They couldn't easily do it if was a load of licensed music. you have to obey the rules if legit. As for costs. The rates for PRS and radio licenses are much reduced for community stations and i imagine all the infrastructure is in place already.

    Squat parties?

I've been a to a couple of epic ones this year. 'Scumtek' which was huge out near Poplar, inside some strange disused quite expensive building and all over some building site. It resounded around the Thames. Another 'South London Tek' was a big multi rigger, but was in an obscure part of...

Hitting the ground running for finding decent London events.

It's interesting that some of the squat parties seem to have gone back to flyers, kind of like they're retreating from the internet. No bad thing I think.

    London's margin clubs

There's a good afterhours venue in south london at the moment, disused pub, (can't say no more) it's great coz you can drink and smoke like in a propa pub. ;) Nice tasty rig in the basement. It was probably a crap pub when it was open for real but now it feels like a really good mad lock in.

    Mephedrone and Music?

i didn't think much of it but i only had a few dabs. Just like a bit of speed really. Those 'NeoDove' things are alot more pleasant. Had some 'fake' legal Es last year and they were good, pretty nice and a bit trippy.

    London

i lived with some students in my 20s and being a student here seemed like hardwork compared with how I was a student in Leicester. Not havin much £££ in London is tricky and there are loads of distractions. You can always live here after your degree.

vinyl purists: you are boring. please stop.

wobbly pitch shifting & time-stretching from Ableton isn't what i wanna listen to. Depends on genre obviously.

    File sharing and music culture

Guardian article on file sharing This article was in the business section so it has that emphasis but has this hysterical comment at the end > Like somehow if the music industry fails there will be no music culture. I guess it begs the question what should a music industry really...

    what speakers do you use?

I use these cheapo Spirit Absolute 2s, gottem years ago, i never get tired listening on them and they have a clear flat sound, If I was to buy again i'd probably get Hafler or Dynaudio.

    Dj Heckling

Agreed , that is the perfect one liner, "Clearly not" , is the answer, also "Have you got anything I like" I think gets 2nd place.
