    Bats

They are down the park I fish. I often catch a Carp just as it gets dark, and they fly into the line as I'm playing the fish!

    LED ZEP

I meant Plant not Page! This is the one I know but @william_kent mentioned another one to me if I remember right in another thread.

Favs probably Whole Lotta Love and the disco/italo versions.

    LED ZEP

Jimmy Page lives near me and has been spotted in the local shops. I heard some Led Zep blasting from a next door neighbours garden party, and it took me a while to realise I was listening to a cover band performing.

Are political events and large-scale disasters now the only form of collective experience?

I'll have to sleep watching some Zizek videos tonight. In an inversion of Marxist theory, where people do not know but do it anyway, I seem to know I'm being lied to, but do it anyway.

    Chasing the Perfect Loop

Was going to post some Dean Cole myself but couldn't find the track, unsurprisingly with all the coded release names.

"the poet must not close his eyes"

The 'real' in Herzogian terms, is the sun exploding at 7 point nought millions KW per second.

"the poet must not close his eyes"

I engage with the present through the symbolic and imagination and block out the real. I was hung up on Herzog for years though.

"the poet must not close his eyes"

Travel on foot is part classical references I've forgot, part Pyramid symbolism as you see in the Abbey Road cover. Then a lot of mystery too and how it ties in with all his films. Can explain it away. All his sayings are referential.

"the poet must not close his eyes"

Herzog's easy to deconstruct once you've studied him for ages, then it just becomes comedy, like travelling on foot.

    Mr Fingers / Larry Heard

I don't know him catologically, but I hear tunes like Closer or I'm Strong and think wow... this guy went a long way to inventing the deep in house.

    Choon of the Day, redux

I did an apprenticeship when I was 16 and was well into acid house and already raving. An older bloke I worked with did me a CD of acid tunes and this was one of them.

    2024 books/films/shows

I can't remember what Film Noir I've seen this year I really liked other than The Big Heat, but there are a few others, maybe read one book on the other hand, Ballard - Crash. And can think of one brilliant film, The Parallax View.

    2024 EOY lists

I remember last year I came up with these 3, that were my most listened to that year. Willie Colon - Set Fire To Me (Inferno Dub) Mr Flagio - Take a Chance Donna McGhee - It Ain’t No Big Thing So this year, and it's just the 3 I can say have been ringing round in my head. Romanthony - The...

    Acid Techno

Like the acid stuff on DJAX. I am quite limited. Like the US influence on that stuff.

    Natural Forms & Spherical Thinkers

Makes more sense as Greece was occupied in WW2.

    Natural Forms & Spherical Thinkers

It took me a couple of weeks to think of his name, but I meant Erich Auerbach. Was thrown off the scent by thinking he was Dutch exiled to Greece, not German in Turkey. I read Mimesis a long time ago.
