    Ethiopian Begena music

    not sure if dave already mentioned it (sorry i'm new, hello!) but v. 11 of the ethiopiques series, 'the harp of king david,' is fully devoted to begena music and is unmissable. someone needs to hitch some sine waves to those bass patterns.
